What and who is TAKNATUDU?

Music band TAKNATUDU was coming into existence during the year 2006 from the cooperation of two musicians – Pavel MARŠÍK and Michal PAVLÍK. In its original works, it emphasises deeper expressional rock music with more difficult music parts, rich harmonies, melodies and rhythms. The music style of TAKNATUDU cannot be simply put into one category, you can find contemporary trends as well as influences of former years in its style.
Singer and bass player PAVEL MARŠÍK is a former frontman of group Sirael, later on he was a part of Freddie Mercury´s songs revival and revivals of other similar world rockers whose singing is hard to achieve. He puts this experience, together with his talent, into songs of TAKNATUDU where he works distinctly as an author.
Multi-instrumentalist MICHAL PAVLÍK finished studies of classical cello in The Prague Conservatoire (prof. František Pišinger) and jazz&rock (prof. Karel Velebný). During several decades, he cooperated with many famous personalities and groups mainly from pop-beat scene (e.g. Jana Kratochvílová, Luboš Pospíšil and 5P, Tango, Vítkovo kvarteto, Petr Novák and George&Beatovens) mostly as a keyboard player. He recorded tens of audio and visual records with inland and world performers. He was a founding member of ČECHOMOR (www.cechomor.cz), where he, apart from cello, plays also Czech bagpipes. His interpretative experience together with authorial and arrangement work is a pillar column of repertory of TAKNATUDU.
Guitar player Jiří MILOTA and drummer and percussionist Petr EICHLER contributed in an excellent way to the sound of the rock formation TAKNATUDU in concerts as well as on the CD.
At the beginning of 2011, TAKNATUDU, after its one-year-break, appears with new musicians, guitar player Jan PRIESTER and drummer and percussionist Zdeněk KOUBEK. Both of them are involved in many music genres, including classical music. Their interpretative presence in more serious projects is a good promise for the future development of TAKNATUDU.
The aim of the rock quartet TAKNATUDU is to interpret music without fundamental barriers in genre and time with the influence of art music. The songs are composed for sensitive music audience of different age, both in clubs and open air festivals. TAKNATUDU interprets its original Czech texts but also offers English versions of most of them.
